About the role
The Associate Environmental Manager supports the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of environmental programs to ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. This role promotes sustainability initiatives, manages environmental compliance activities, and provides technical expertise to maintain a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.
Your responsibilities
Partner in the Design, implement, and audit environmental management programs to ensure regulatory compliance.
Monitor and report on environmental performance metrics; identify gaps and develop corrective actions.
Maintain required documentation and records for environmental compliance and reporting.
Develop and manage programs for recycling, waste management, emissions reduction, and spill prevention.
Provide leadership and coordination for emergency spill response activities.
Stay current on changes to environmental regulations and communicate impacts to Environmental, Health and Safety Manager
Develop and deliver environmental training programs to promote awareness and compliance.
Work with regulatory agencies during inspections and manage inquiries through resolution.
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to sustainability
The experience we're looking for
5+ years of environmental compliance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations and reporting requirements.
Experience managing regulatory inspections and closure processes.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and training skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.

US salary ranges
USD $106,000.00 - $160,000.00
US pay transparency
The base salary range for this role will vary based on experience in job and industry, training and education, skills relevant to the position, and other factors permitted by law.
