Leading manufacturer and distributor in the fashion industry is seeking a Controller with experience dealing with leading retailers. This person will manage daily financial operations with responsibility for reporting, controls and partnering with the CFO and other senior management. This candidate will have five people under his/her control and will manage an International Controller. This position is onsite in Pine Brook, NJ
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance Required; CPA preferred
- 7–12+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Wholesale experience with large retailers and Amazon preferred
- Understanding of markdown allowances
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting
- Must understand inventory valuation and cash management
- History of managing the external audit process
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP, KwikTag Document Management software and/or NetSuite preferred
- Expertise with Windows, MS Excel, and MS Word required
- Strong communicator that gets along with people but can still say no
- Self-sufficient, can multitask, has strong management skills and can provide valuable input to the CFO
