Job Overview:

RWJBarnabas Health is looking to add a qualified weekend Supervisor to join their team in Somerville NJ. The Supervisor is responsible for supervising staff members in the performance of their duties and assisting the Screening Program Director and Assistant Director in the administration of a 24-hour operation. The Supervisor serves as the outreach liaison for all community agencies. Exercises supervisory authority and independent judgment in assigning employee labor. Responsible for supervising and directing the delegation of tasks to appropriate support personnel and for consistently setting and evaluating priorities. Exercises supervisory authority and independent judgment in directing employee labor. Makes recommendations regarding the ongoing performance evaluation of supervised staff and resulting actions (i,e, reward, discipline, discharge, etc). E nsure that Emergency Screening is in compliance with all applicable policies, laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Master’s degree or enrolled in a Master’s Degree program in social work, psychology or related clinical field
• Certified New Jersey Mental Health Screener or Mental Health experience required to immediately be eligible for Screening Certification requirements
• Must possess the ability to work in stressful situations

Preferred:

• Supervisory experience preferred

Certifications and Licenses Required:

• Must possess and maintain a valid NJ State Drivers License
• BLS Certification from American Heart Association

Scheduling Requirements:

• Day Shift, 24 hours/week
  • Weekends
• Part-Time Schedule

Essential Functions:

• Acts as liaison to community agencies, law enforcement and patients
• Acts as liaison to community agencies, law enforcement and patients families to effect outreach within the geographic area of Somerset County
• Participates in providing annual community-based education to Monmouth
• Participates in behavioral health education projects
• Provides direct patient care on-site and off-site during high volume
• Responsible for supervision of mobile practicum for designated Screening
• Responsible for supervision of mobile practicum for designated Screening Centers
• Supervises the triage of in-coming clients to maintain timely flow of patients from Emergency Department to PESS
• Assigns cases to staff members as appropriate
• Supervises and develops the implementation of treatment plans for patients
• Supervises and develops the implementation of treatment plans for patients based upon the team assessment
