Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA)

Locations: Union, NJ & Flanders, NJ.

Schedule: Part‑Time or Per Diem.

• Required: Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license.
• Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Collaborative practice agreement with supervising physician (support available).
• Active malpractice insurance (or proof of coverage).

Responsibilities:

• Obtain and review patients’ medical and psychosocial history relevant to weight loss and IV infusion therapy.
• Perform physical exams per established clinic guidelines.
• Order and assess laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures, including ECGs.
• Manage IV infusions and monitor patient reactions during and post‑treatment.
• Provide basic medical consultation.
• Prescribe and adjust medications.
• Educate and counsel patients on weight management, lifestyle, nutrition, and medication adherence.

Typical Day:

• Conduct new‑patient intakes: history, vitals, entire health assessment.
• Administer and/or supervise IV infusion sessions.
• Order labs/ECGs and interpret results.
• Adjust treatment plans under physician collaboration.
• Provide patient education and follow‑up guidance.
• Ensure accurate documentation and EMR charting.
