Per Diem Surgical/Scrub Technologist

Overview:

Atlantic Eye is seeking a Per Diem Surgical Scrub Tech to join our dynamic ophthalmology team. This role supports surgical procedures by ensuring the OR is properly prepared, instruments are sterilized and organized, and patient safety standards are upheld. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare operating rooms for surgery by ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are sterilized and readily available.
• Maintain a sterile field throughout surgical procedures to minimize the risk of infection.
• Anticipate the needs of surgeons and other members of the surgical team to facilitate smooth and efficient procedures.
• Clean and sterilize operating room equipment and instruments after each procedure.
• Adhere to safety protocols and infection control procedures to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Assures the surgeon identified and describes surgical specimen prior to disposal.
• Restocking the operating room after each scheduled procedure, ensuring all instruments and supplies are replenished and the environment is clean and organized.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education Requirement:

• High school diploma
• Must be a Certified Surgical Technologist
• SPD strongly desired.
