En tant que technicien II chez United Rentals, vous aurez la possibilité de mettre à profit vos compétences pour effectuer des tâches d’entretien et d’entretien préventif, ainsi que des réparations mineures sur des équipements de manière sécuritaire et professionnelle. Chaque jour, vous aurez l’occasion de vous améliorer et de mettre vos compétences à l’épreuve. Comme tous les membres de notre équipe, vous aurez la responsabilité de fournir un service d’exception à nos clients.
Voici d’ailleurs quelques-unes des principales tâches :
Assurer l’entretien, l’entretien préventif et la réparation des outils et équipements de location, notamment des systèmes mécaniques, électriques, hydrauliques et diesels.
Tenir à jour la documentation écrite ou électronique associée aux travaux effectués (bons de travail) de manière exhaustive chaque jour dans les délais prescrits.
Effectuer la démonstration d’une vaste gamme d’équipements complexes auprès des clients.
Participer au ramassage et à la livraison des équipements et des pièces.
Réaliser les autres tâches demandées en fonction des besoins.
Exigences du poste :
Diplôme d’études secondaires ou équivalent.
Permis de conduire valide assorti d’un dossier de conduite jugé acceptable.
Expérience d’un à deux ans en réparation ou en entretien de véhicules et d’équipements; ou diplôme délivré par une école de métiers.
Possession des outils applicables au poste obligatoire.
Compréhension fondamentale des schémas et des diagrammes.
Service à la clientèle de qualité supérieure, esprit d’équipe et capacité à communiquer aussi bien à l’oral qu’à l’écrit.
Capacité à soulever fréquemment des objets pouvant peser jusqu’à 20 kg (45 lb).
Exigence linguistique : Maîtrise du français, à l’oral et à l’écrit, et connaissance de base de l’anglais.
Ce poste est considéré sensible à la sécurité aux fins des politiques et procédures de United Rentals.

As a Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech II), you’ll use your skills to perform maintenance, preventive maintenance and minor repairs of equipment in a safe and professional manner. Every day, you can improve and challenge yourself, and if you have the desire and ambition, you’ll have the potential to work towards higher level Tech roles in our Service Department. Like every member of our team, we will rely on you to provide exceptional customer service to our customers.
What you'll do:
Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance and repair of rental equipment and tools involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems
Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner on a daily basis
Demonstrate a wide array of complex equipment for customers
Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts
Other duties assigned as needed
Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
1-2 years of experience repairing/maintaining vehicles and equipment; or trade school graduate
Must own tools applicable to position
Basic understanding of schematics and diagrams
Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
- Language Requirement: Fluent in French – written and spoken, basic knowledge of English
