Senior Accountant
Location: Newark, NJ
We are partnering with a growing manufacturing organization in the Newark, NJ area seeking a Senior Accountant to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of public accounting and private industry experience , along with strong technical accounting skills and the ability to support financial reporting, budgeting, and audit activities.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with leadership and play a key role in strengthening financial reporting and operational analysis within the organization. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and monitoring departmental, project, and organizational expenditures
• Manage the annual budgeting process and support quarterly forecasting
• Support the transition and enhancement of monthly internal reporting to ensure GAAP compliance for covenant reporting
• Implement and maintain financial reporting to support manufacturing and operational analysis
• Assist with external audit preparation and coordinate year-end reporting requirements
• Support insurance and income reporting processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
• Public and private accounting experience preferred
• Experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred
• Master’s degree and/or CPA a plus

Skills & Knowledge

• Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting regulations
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite
• Experience supporting or overseeing annual audits
• Strong data management and analytical skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
