Forklift Operator

Staff Management Group is seeking a Forklift Operator for our client in Linden, NJ. Please read the ENTIRE job description and ALL of the job requirements BEFORE applying for this position.

Schedule:

• 1st Shift: 8AM - 4:30PM
• Monday - Friday
• Plus overtime

Pay Rate:

• $19 / hour

Job Summary:

The Forklift Operator (Reach Truck) is responsible for safely loading, unloading, and moving merchandise within the warehouse using a reach truck. This role requires strong equipment-handling skills, attention to safety, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate a reach truck to load and unload merchandise from racks, trailers, and staging areas
• Transport products safely and efficiently throughout the warehouse
• Verify merchandise accuracy before and after movement
• Follow all safety procedures and equipment operating guidelines
• Inspect forklift equipment before and after use and report any issues
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Assist with general warehouse duties as needed
• Support inventory movement and storage organization

Job Requirements:

• Bilingual in Spanish and English is required
• Minimum 3+ years of forklift experience required
• Proven experience operating a reach truck
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Able to lift, push, and pull materials as required
