A family in Short Hills is seeking a full-time nanny for their 4-month-old infant. The typical hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm.

Duties include :

Following the baby’s daily schedule for feeding, play, and naps. Preparing and cleaning bottles and feeding supplies. Introducing solids (6+ months). Shopping for groceries weekly and preparing a light breakfast for one parent. Cleaning and organizing the kitchen. Changing diapers. Bringing packages inside. Completing light housekeeping tasks related to the child and shared family spaces, including doing the baby’s laundry, laundering the family’s bed linens weekly, tidying the nursery, and vacuuming the first-floor living areas. No pet care is required.

The ideal candidate for this job has at least five years of professional childcare experience, including newborn care, and is knowledgeable about infant schedules, feeding, and developmental milestones. Strong communication skills, a calm and positive demeanor, and a genuine love for caring for children are essential. The ideal candidate is reliable, attentive, organized, proactive, and comfortable occasionally working while parents are at home. Looking for someone to create a nurturing, warm, and developmentally supportive environment that fosters the baby’s sense of security and trust and adapts as the baby’s needs evolve. Strong organizational skills and the ability to assist with light housekeeping tasks such as tidying the kitchen, doing grocery runs, and vacuuming are important.

About the family :

This adorable angel of a newborn will be 4 months old in January 2026. Dad is rule bound, easygoing, trustworthy, and a good communicator. Mom is organized, proactive, warm, and attentive. The family has a cat, but no pet care is required.
