We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Administrator to manage material availability and inventory health for assigned SKUs. You will be responsible for converting MRP signals into accurate and timely purchase orders and preventing stockouts and excess inventory through data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Own material availability and inventory health for assigned SKUs.
- Convert MRP signals into accurate and timely purchase orders.
- Proactively prevent stockouts and excess inventory through data-driven decision-making.
- Manage and execute planning activities within NetSuite/Netstock MRP.
- Maintain accurate system inputs, including lead times, MOQ, and order multiples.
- Identify and escalate data integrity issues impacting planning outputs.
- Confirm delivery dates and hold suppliers accountable to commitments.
- Proactively expedite or re-sequence orders to mitigate risk.
- Support cost savings and sourcing initiatives.
- Partner with Planning, Wholesale, and Project Management to ensure promotions, launches, and demand shifts are reflected in system plans.
- Ensure new SKUs and components are properly set up for planning and procurement.
- Contribute to KPIs including OTIF, inventory turns, stockout rate, and working capital performance.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 1 year experience, preferably in supply chain management, planning, or logistics.
- Ability to interpret system-generated recommendations and apply sound judgment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Brunswick, NJ.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.63/hr.
