We are a family-owned neighborhood tavern located in a historic 19th-century building, known for fresh seafood, steaks, sautéed dishes, and craft beverages. We take pride in offering a warm, community-focused dining experience rooted in teamwork, consistency, and respect.

We’re seeking a full-time Kitchen Manager to lead back-of-house operations and support a strong, collaborative kitchen team.

Compensation & Benefits

• $65,000–$70,000 annually

Schedule

• Full-time | 5 days per week

• Approximately 55 hours weekly

• Nights & weekends required

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily BOH operations in a high-volume tavern kitchen

• Oversee ordering, receiving, vendor communication & inventory control

• Maintain food quality, recipe accuracy, and cost management

• Ensure all food safety & sanitation standards (ServSafe preferred)

• Lead, train, schedule, and motivate a team of 5–10 BOH employees

• Maintain consistency in preparation, portioning, and plate presentation

• Foster a positive, respectful, guest-first kitchen culture

Experience Required

• Prior BOH management experience (Kitchen Manager, Chef, Sous Chef, Lead Line Cook)

• Strong scratch-kitchen and recipe execution skills

• Ordering, inventory, and cost-awareness experience

• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, lift 50 lbs , and stand long shifts

• Food safety certification preferred

• Proven success training and leading BOH staff
