Job Description
This role supports the remodeling crew. You will be responsible for loading and unloading the truck at the shop and the job site. You must always maintain a clean and safe working environment. You will be required to lift and move objects weighing 50 pounds or more. You will be asked to perform tasks like cleaning, doing demolishing, supporting the installations and other remodeling tasks.
Specific responsibilities:
- Show up on time dressed accordingly
- Load and unload the trucks, and organize tools, materials and equipment at the shop and the job site
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Keeping tools and jobsite materials organized
- Assist the crew leader and other crew members with specialized tasks as needed
- Manual Labor – Moving heavy tools and materials, clearing debris, digging
- Safely operate construction and power tools
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including NJ standards, and use required Personal Protective Equipment
- Operating heavy construction machinery
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of previous construction experience required
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and perform strenuous physical labor for extended periods
- Basic knowledge of tools and worksite safety
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Basic math skills to take accurate measurements and perform simple site calculations
- Ability to follow directions from a supervisor and work with a crew
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to work
- Must be willing to work outdoors in all types of weather when necessary
- Must be willing to work Saturdays and occasional overtime
