Linux Administrator - Eclipse/Universe ERP (Hybrid On-site) - Trenton, NJ

We are seeking a highly motivated Linux Administrator to join our team in a hybrid on-site role and play a critical role in supporting our Eclipse/Universe ERP environment. In this role, you will split your time between working on-site at our Trenton, NJ location and remotely. You will be responsible for administering and maintaining our Red Hat servers and ensuring the smooth operation of our ERP system.

Responsibilities:

• UniVerse Database Administration:
  • Perform file sizing and maintenance tasks to optimize database performance.
  • Identify and troubleshoot broken files and indexes within the UniVerse system.
  • Analyze and resolve UniVerse lock issues to ensure data integrity and system availability.
  • Set up new user accounts and manage access controls within the UniVerse database.
• Linux System Administration:
  • Manage and maintain Red Hat servers, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Perform system administration tasks including user and group management, package installation, and configuration.
  • Monitor system logs and proactively identify and troubleshoot potential issues.
  • Implement and maintain security best practices to safeguard the server environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Red Hat technologies and security patches.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Linux Administrator with a strong understanding of Red Hat server administration.
• Solid knowledge of UniVerse ERP system administration and configuration.
• Experience with database administration principles and best practices.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
