Master Planner
The Master Planner Scheduler is responsible for developing and managing production schedules across cultivation, processing, and packaging, while ensuring resources are effectively allocated to meet demand. The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical and communication skills with a deep understanding of production planning in a regulated environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Develop and manage integrated production schedules for cultivation, processing, and packaging operations to meet company objectives.
- Coordinate cross-department workflows (cultivation, extraction, manufacturing, packaging) to ensure efficient resource allocation and on-time delivery.
- Monitor inventory and material availability , collaborating with procurement to avoid shortages or overstocking.
- Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts, resource constraints, and bottlenecks to maintain consistent production flow.
- Collaborate with quality control and compliance teams to ensure adherence to GMP standards and regulatory requirements.
OTHER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and present updates during two weekly calls with C-suite executives, aligning priorities and reporting on production performance.
- Communicate production schedules, priorities, and updates to relevant stakeholders across the organization.
- Analyze production data and performance metrics to support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to production scheduling.
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reports related to scheduling activities.
- Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite for planning and reporting.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
- 21 years of age and eligible to work in the US
- Ability to pass a background check and obtain and maintain a valid Registered Agent card in accordance with state regulations
- Proven experience in production planning, scheduling, or operations management (cannabis or comparable regulated industry preferred).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of using data for decision-making.
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management abilities in fast-paced environments.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and cannabis regulatory requirements (or willingness to learn quickly).
- Effective communication skills , both verbal and written, with ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
- Detail-oriented mindset with focus on accuracy and precision in planning.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and dynamic operational needs.
- Demonstrated commitment to product quality and compliance in a regulated industry.
PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations management, or a related field.
- Experience with scheduling software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Fishbowl, or cannabis-specific ERP like Flourish/METRC integrations).
- Previous cannabis industry experience in a similar scheduling or planning role.
