Receiving Quality Technician
The Receiving Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring that all incoming raw materials, components parts, and finished goods are fully inspected at receiving for defects, shipping damage or, non-compliance with purchase order terms.
This position runs on the following shift:
7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
- Perform AQL sampling and inspection of incoming raw materials, components, and finished goods for defects, contamination, and shipping damage.
- Verify purchase order details, lot numbers, seals, COAs and other supplier documentation upon receipt.
- Collect, label, and retain samples per sampling plan and specification for testing and traceability.
- Execute visual inspections and specified physical/chemical tests; record all data in the incoming receiving log.
- Reject or quarantine shipments that fail inspection and immediately notify the Quality Manager and relevant stakeholders.
- Communicate inspection/test results to production, packaging, and quality teams; escalate non-conformances.
- Ensure inspection and test equipment is calibrated, in-date, and functioning; document calibration status.
- Maintain receiving/inspection area clean, organized, and compliant with GMP and health & safety rules.
- Follow company quality procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
IDEAL CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Must be detail-oriented and organized.
- Must have excellent communication skills.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
- Required to stand and walk most of the day with occasional sitting to do measurements and paperwork.
- Must be able to lift to 30 lbs. while wearing PPE, such as hairnet, beard net (if applicable), earplugs and safety glasses.
