Physician
Location: Long Branch, New Jersey
Setting: Newborn Nursery Coverage
Assignment Dates: TBD Several Days Per Month
Schedule & Setting
- Monday Friday: 8:00 AM 4:00 PM
• Weekends & Holidays: 8:00 AM Until work is complete
• Work alongside second hospitalist onsite during weekdays
• Independent coverage on weekends and holidays
Clinical Responsibilities
- Perform newborn history and physical examinations
• Provide routine newborn care and management
• Communicate with families regarding newborn care plans
• Attend deliveries as needed (attendance/resuscitation experience preferred but not required)
Patient Volume
- Average newborns per day depending on census
Call Requirements
- May sign out plans to pediatric residents
• Availability for clarification or follow-up calls from residents until 10:00 PM as needed
Practice Model
- Collaborative weekday coverage with second hospitalist
• Independent weekend and holiday coverage
EMR
- Epic
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible Pediatrics required
• NRP certification preferred but not required
