Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking a licensed Water Treatment Plant Operator to safely operate, monitor, and maintain a water treatment facility in New Jersey. This role is responsible for ensuring system reliability, regulatory compliance, and optimal plant performance in a team-oriented environment.

License Requirement

Minimum N-1 Water License issued by the State of New Jersey is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor water treatment plant systems and equipment

• Perform inspections, testing, and routine preventive maintenance

• Maintain daily logs of operations, instrument readings, maintenance activities, and safety checks

• Troubleshoot equipment issues and support reliability-based maintenance practices

• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations

• Oversee contractors working within the plant

• Maintain accurate compliance documentation and plant records

• Identify safety hazards and support ongoing safety programs

• Assist with inventory control and supply management

• Provide guidance and training to staff as needed

Qualifications

• Active NJ N-1 Water License required

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Strong understanding of water treatment operations and regulatory standards

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, bend, twist, and stand for extended periods

• Willingness to complete required training and support additional shifts as needed
