Urgently Hiring for a Packaging Mechanic with Encapsulation experience!

Pay: $33 to $38

Shift: 1st or 2nd, Monday to Friday

Location: Fairfield, Nj & West Caldwell, NJ

Job Description

The role of a Maintenance Mechanic is pivotal in ensuring a smooth production operation. This position involves performing daily routines of maintaining equipment, conducting mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, repairing machinery, handling changeovers, setting up machinery, and conducting minor installations of production equipment. Additionally, the role includes scheduled preventive maintenance of machines and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Follow all GMPs and relevant SOPs.
• Conduct daily minor troubleshooting and repairs of tableting, granulation, and compression machines and equipment.
• Maintain machine parts and keep changeover tooling in good condition.
• Provide general preventive maintenance to packaging machines and equipment as required.
• Complete all required maintenance documentation accurately and promptly.
• Ensure all safety components and guarding on packaging machines and equipment are operational.
• Increase productivity by completing maintenance, changeovers, and repairs in a timely and efficient manner.
• Maintain equipment and parts, determining inventory spare part levels.
• Demonstrate levels I, II, or III of mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.
• Show aptitude to progress to the next level of expertise.
• Have basic machine shop knowledge and operate machines like drill presses and band saws.
• Work with power tools and demonstrate mechanical and electrical skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or Technical Degree.
• 5+ years of experience as a maintenance mechanic.
• Knowledge and adherence to GMPs.
• Understanding of granulation, compression, or tablet machines, and packaging machinery.
• Basic machine shop knowledge.
• Experience with fabrication, maintenance repair, 3 phase motors, equipment maintenance, mechanical aptitude, and hydraulics.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fairfield, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $38.00/hr.
