Lead

Akkodis is seeking a Lead for a Contract with a client in Dallas, TX/ Jersey City, NJ. The ideal candidate is skilled in designing and securing API proxies on Apigee Edge/X, bringing deep expertise in OAuth 2.0, mTLS, and CI/CD automation .

Rate Range: $37/hour to $49/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Lead job responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable API proxies, shared flows, and policies within the Apigee Edge/Hybrid/X platforms.

• Implement and enforce advanced API security standards including OAuth 2.0, JWT, SAML, and mTLS.

• Lead CI/CD automation for API deployments using DevOps tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.

• Monitor and optimize API performance, troubleshoot runtime issues, and address technical debt.

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams while providing technical leadership and mentoring to developers.

• Drive API lifecycle management from design through deployment, ensuring compliance, reliability, and high availability.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related engineering discipline.

• 10+ years of experience in API management, with at least 5 years of hands‑on expertise in Apigee Edge/Hybrid/X.

• Strong proficiency in API security standards including OAuth 2.0, JWT, SAML, and mTLS as required by the client.

• Proven experience building CI/CD pipelines and delivering scalable API integration solutions using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar per client needs.

Pay Details: $37.00 to $49.00 per hour
