Account Payable Associate
Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist Job Type: Full-time Location: South Plainfield, NJ , USA Department: Finance / Accounting Work Authorization: Candidates must have current authorization to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship. Salary:Starting at $17+ per hour. Final compensation will be discussed during the interview process and may vary based on experience and qualifications. Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing invoices, maintaining vendor accounts, ensuring timely payments, and supporting the overall accounting function. This role requires strong organizational skills, accuracy, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities
- Review, verify, and process vendor invoices accurately
- Match purchase orders, invoices, and receiving documents
- Prepare and execute scheduled payment runs (ACH, wire, checks)
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain organized and accurate financial records
- Respond to vendor inquiries professionally and promptly
- Assist with month-end closing and reporting tasks
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures
- Support audits by providing required documentation
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 2+ years of Accounts Payable or accounting experience
- Strong understanding of AP processes and financial controls
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with accounting/ERP software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar)
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong time management and organizational skills
