Position: Automotive Service Advisor

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and build trust through clear, honest communication

• Listen to customer concerns and accurately document repair needs

• Prepare and present detailed estimates for recommended services and repairs

• Clearly explain pricing, options, and warranty coverage to customers

• Confidently sell and upsell services based on vehicle needs and manufacturer recommendations

• Maintain strong follow-up with customers regarding approvals, updates, and completion timelines

• Coordinate with technicians to ensure accuracy of estimates and efficiency of workflow

• Process invoices, payments, and warranty claims

• Support shop profitability by meeting sales goals while always maintaining transparency and integrity

Qualifications

• Previous Automotive Service Advisor/Writer experience preferred (dealership or independent shop)

• Strong sales and closing skills — ability to confidently present estimates and gain customer approval

• Proven experience in pricing, upselling, and meeting sales goals while maintaining customer trust

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment

• Basic automotive knowledge (not a technician role, but ability to explain services is essential)

• Positive, professional attitude with focus on both customer satisfaction and shop profitability
