Journeyman

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Journeyman to join our team. The ideal candidate will have completed an apprenticeship and hold a valid journeyman license or certification. This position involves performing a wide range of installation, maintenance, and repair tasks in accordance with applicable codes and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform skilled trade work including installation, maintenance, and repair of [electrical/plumbing/carpentry/etc.] systems.
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to plan job layouts and procedures.
• Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal codes and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with supervisors and clients.
• Troubleshoot system malfunctions and determine appropriate repairs.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices as needed.
• Accurately complete daily job reports and documentation.

Requirements:

• Valid Journeyman Trade License or Certification.
• High school diploma or GED; technical training preferred.
• Completion of a registered apprenticeship program.
• [3+] years of relevant experience in the trade.
• Strong knowledge of applicable safety regulations and best practices.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift [50+] lbs, work in varying conditions, and perform physical tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
• Experience with commercial and residential projects.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
