Bilingual Route Sales (NYC) – Japanese Food Import Company

About the Role
A growing Japanese food import startup is hiring a Route Sales Representative. The company imports popular Japanese food products and distributes them to grocery retailers . After successfully building its foundation in its first year, the company is now entering an exciting growth phase!
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building long-term client relationships, working in a fast-paced environment, and contributing to a growing organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Regular store visits and shelf management (stocking, organizing, displaying)
- Communicating with store managers and staff (English communication required)
- Introduce new products and conduct product presentations
- Take orders and coordinate deliveries
- Work collaboratively with internal members to ensure smooth operations
- Data entry and preparation of sales support materials
Qualifications
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Bilingual Japanese/English required
- Valid driver's license (driving required)
- Food industry experience is a plus!
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
Work Hours and Location
- Monday–Friday (8:30 AM–5:30 PM)
- Office & Warehouse: Secaucus, NJ
- Client Visits: NYC area (mainly Manhattan, Brooklyn)
- On-site position
- Company vehicle provided
*Travel between the NJ warehouse and the NYC client locations as needed
Compensation
$55,000-$70,000/year (depending on experience)
Benefits (after 3-month probation)
