Accounting Manager

Position Summary

Tire Agent is looking for a Rockstar Accounting Manager to help the business achieve aggressive growth goals in 2025 and beyond. The Accounting Manager will oversee the AP and AR supervisors and their teams, assisting them with their day-to-day tasks. In this role, you will work closely with the Controller and the SVP of Finance to support the critical business operations and initiatives of the growing company.

General Responsibilities

• Partner with the Controller in managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department.
• Provide guidance and support to the accounting team and ensure the completion of all reporting deadlines.
• Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships.
• Assist in preparing GAAP financial statements, which includes data analysis, company consolidations, data validation, and reconciliation processes.
• Assess current practices and procedures and make recommendations for improvements.
• Process daily cancellations and returns provided by the logistics team.
• Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
• Perform other related projects and duties as necessary.

Ideal Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• Minimum 7-10 years of progressive experience in accounting roles, with at least 2 years at a supervisory position. CPA a plus.
• Experience working with multiple e-commerce entities and monthly consolidations preferred.
• Working knowledge of cloud ERP systems, especially Acumatica is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytic, problem solving and critical thinking skills with an eye for detail.
• Possess the ability to deal effectively with ambiguity, thrive in an unstructured environment with competing deadlines, and re-prioritize demands as events change.
