Senior Principal Software Engineer

We are seeking talented, experienced Principal Level Software engineers to help us create the worlds most advanced solutions in the area such as Electronic Warfare, Secure Communications and Networking, Radar Warning and Electronic Attack for our defense related customers. Our products provide critical mission capabilities to address the ever-evolving challenges and threats to our nations security and the war fighter. The Totowa, NJ Software organization develops and delivers Software solutions for our complex electronic products to our internal engineering teams and external testing sites. In addition to software development responsibilities, you will be responsible for partnering with other discipline leads on the programs to help ensure that program objectives are met, and that software engineering has consistent, predictable performance. You will also participate directly on Software development efforts across the business area. Software Engineering is fast paced and dynamic. You will need to be self-motivated, and highly collaborative to succeed in this role. Responsibilities:
- Partner and collaborate with the program leaders to ensure program objectives are achieved.
- Developing your technical and professional skills
- Supporting the technical design, development, integration and release of our BAE SYSTEMS Software.
- Work closely with product line engineering to ensure alignment and understanding of the required capabilities and functions.
- Responsible for implementation of Software Solutions Strategy and processes
- Must have an active Secret clearance.
- BS Degree in Engineering with at least 8 years of work experience, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 8+ years or comparable test engineering related experience preferred.
- Good familiarity with the Software Development Process
- Experience developing Electronic Warfare systems.
- Proficient in the Software Development Life Cycle and Software languages such as C++, C# and Python.
- Experienced in Real Time Operating Systems such as RedHat and/or RTLinux
- Experienced in Hands on integration testing of electronic systems
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Prior success participating in team efforts.
- A continuous improvement mindset to enhance Software development through process modernization.
- Proven performance in software design and development.
- Experience Developing and Integrating Application Software
- Good leadership and communication skills.
Full-Time Salary Range: $145049 - $246584 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
