Senior Software Engineer
Senior Software Engineer – Automation, Data & Internal Tools
Location: Hybrid – NJ Office (preferred), or US-Remote
Team: DevOps / Internal Products
About the Role
We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer who combines strong backend engineering skills with a consultant mentality. You’ll sit between the business and the code—understanding problems, proposing solutions, and then building the tools, automations, and data pipelines that actually move the needle for Digacore. We’re flexible on the specific backend language. If you’re strong in at least one modern backend stack (for example: Python, Node.js/TypeScript, C#, Java, Go, etc.) and you know how to ship real systems, we want to talk.
What You'll Do
- Develop and evolve internal apps that streamline client management, service delivery, and operations.
- Design and implement data pipelines and models from multiple systems to support reporting and analytics.
- Automate repetitive workflows to reduce manual work and errors across the business.
- Integrate internal systems and third-party platforms via APIs.
- Work directly with operations, finance, service, and leadership to understand needs and suggest better solutions.
What We're Looking For
Must-haves:
- Strong experience with at least one modern backend language and ecosystem (e.g., Python, Node.js/TypeScript, C#, Java, Go, etc.).
- Solid SQL skills and experience with ETL/ELT or data pipelines.
- Experience building APIs, services, or internal tools used by real users.
- Comfort integrating with REST APIs and third-party platforms.
- A consultant mindset: you ask “why,” challenge assumptions, and communicate options and tradeoffs in plain language.
Nice-to-haves:
- Experience with modern frontend frameworks to build simple internal UIs or dashboards.
- Experience with Power BI or other BI tools.
- Background in MSP, SaaS, or B2B services environments.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and CI/CD pipelines.
Why Digacore
- Real impact: The tools and automations you build are used daily across the company.
- Ownership: You’ll own projects end-to-end, from idea to production and iteration.
- Growth: Help shape a growing DevOps and internal products function and its technical direction.
- Culture: We care about clarity, honesty, and results—not theater.
Compensation
Hybrid (NJ Office): $100,000–$160,000 base, depending on experience.
US-Remote: $90,000–$140,000 base, depending on experience and location.
Plus benefits and growth opportunities.
