Overview:
GRA Design Studio is seeking a highly capable and tech-savvyIT Systems Administrator with experience supporting architecture, engineering, or professional services firms. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of IT support and infrastructure, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and contributing to long-term IT strategy. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in IT systems, user support, and network administration, with an understanding of the specific needs of design professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

IT Operations & User Support:

• Provide daily IT support to staff across hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Handle onboarding/offboarding of staff, including device setup, software configuration, and user access.
• Diagnose and resolve laptop, desktop, and mobile device issues (Windows/macOS).
• Perform printer setup, configuration, and maintenance.

System Administration & Networking:

• Manage and maintain office network infrastructure including firewalls, routers, switches, and Wi-Fi systems.
• Ensure cybersecurity best practices are implemented across all systems and endpoints.
• Monitor and maintain backups, data security, and IT documentation.

Procurement & Asset Management:

• Evaluate, spec, and purchase computers and IT equipment tailored to architectural/engineering workflows.
• Maintain inventory of hardware and software assets.
• Renew and manage all software licenses and subscriptions.

Project & Vendor Coordination:

• Liaise with external vendors for technical support, licensing, and project-specific needs.
• Support project teams with software configurations, coordination tools, and technical troubleshooting.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 37 years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or a related rolepreferably in the architecture, engineering, or professional services sector.
• Solid knowledge of networking, firewalls, and Windows/Mac environments.
• Experience with software asset management and IT purchasing.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting multiple offices and remote users.
• Proficient with Autodesk products (AutoCAD, Revit, BIM 360), Bluebeam, and Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Strong understanding of CAD/BIM workflows and software versioning strategies.
• Experience managing BIM 360 and other cloud collaboration platforms.
• Familiarity with project-based billing or professional services software (e.g., Deltek, Newforma).
• Experience developing and maintaining CAD/Revit templates and drafting standards.
• Experience coordinating or conducting group and individual training sessions (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam).
• Certifications in Autodesk, Microsoft, or networking (e.g., CompTIA, CCNA) are a plus.
