HIIT Instructor needed for Wednesdays 6pm
Hourly Rate: $20-$30 DOE

Under the supervision of the Wellness Director, the Group Exercise Instructor is responsible for leading prudent exercise programs that promote wellness and healthy lifestyles, developing fellowship, and creating an atmosphere of enjoyment and fun for families and members.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Ensure all health and safety guidelines are strictly adhered to.

2. Prepare routines and choreography that are appropriate to the class level and in accordance with YMCA and Industry Standards.

3. Provide support and encouragement while leading classes in a positive, enthusiastic and energetic fashion, always modeling appropriate technique.

4. Arrive and be ready to begin classes according to the scheduled time and end classes at the scheduled time.

5. Ensure the safety and well-being of all class participants.

6. Remain current and relevant with the trends of fitness.

7. Within one year of initial training attend certification classes and maintain certifications.

8. Have an ability to lead a variety of fitness classes to a diverse population and level of exercise abilities.

9. Complete accident/incident reports when needed and immediately alert supervisor of incident.

10. Notify supervisor of any safety hazards, equipment hazards or concerns immediately.

11. Maintain a professional appearance, wearing the appropriate clothing per the Professional Appearance Policy.

12. Record time work appropriately utilizing the time recording method according to supervisor’s instruction.

13. Attend and participate in meetings and trainings as required by supervisor and YMCA leadership.

PHYSICAL REQURIEMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

Normal amounts of walking, standing, sitting, running, jumping, lifting, pushing, pulling, speaking, reading, and writing found within a wellness class environment.
