NYC-Focused Projects | In-Office Role

A well-established boutique geotechnical and site civil engineering firm in Northern New Jersey is looking to add a Geotechnical Project Manager to support continued growth. The firm has been operating for under a decade, has grown steadily to ~15 people, and is extremely busy with repeat clients and long-term programs across the NYC metro area.

This hire is strategic. The intent is to bring in a PM who can take real ownership of the geotechnical group and help lead both projects and people. Depending on experience, this can be a mid-level PM stepping up or a fully independent Senior PM . There is a clear plan to build a team around this role.

The Opportunity

• Lead and manage geotechnical projects across NYC and Northern NJ

• Strong emphasis on deep foundations and SOE (design + review)

• Review and mentor junior engineers; guide technical direction

• Manage scope, schedules, and project execution

• No business development requirements - focus is delivery and leadership

• Long-term path toward increased responsibility and potential profit sharing / ownership for the right person

What They're Looking For

• NYC geotechnical experience (required)

• Background in deep foundations and SOE

• Comfortable reviewing junior engineers' work

• Project and people management experience

• PE preferred (open to someone close to licensure depending on level)

• Experience with agencies such as SCA is a strong plus

• US work authorization required

Compensation

Compensation is flexible based on level and responsibility:

• Senior, fully independent PMs: up to ~$165k base , plus bonus and full benefits

• Strong PMs / design-heavy PMs: competitive six-figure range

• Long-term upside for those who become trusted leaders within the firm
