Location: Secaucus, New Jersey, 100% onsite
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Salary: $55,000- $65,000 based on experience
Job Description:
The Import Operations Assistant Manager supports daily ocean and air import activities, oversees team performance, and ensures high-quality service delivery for clients. The role is responsible for coordinating operational tasks, managing customer relationships, and driving continuous improvement in process efficiency and service standards. The candidate will also support financial accuracy by monitoring receivables and payables while contributing to a well-organized and compliant logistics operation.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: The candidate oversees daily and weekly tasks, shipment progress, and team performance to maintain consistent operational output.
Client Management: The candidate maintains strong customer relationships to ensure service satisfaction and timely issue resolution.
Training & Development: The candidate supports ongoing learning and skill development for team members to strengthen operational capabilities.
Market Analysis: The candidate performs market and competitor research to identify improvements.
Financial Coordination: The candidate ensures accounts receivable and payable activities are completed on time to maintain accurate financial records.
Qualifications Required:
Language Skills: Bilingual proficiency in English and Korean to support communication requirements with clients and partners.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
Experience: 2-3 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain operations.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
