Bus Driver

Job Summary:
Courtyard Adult Day Center is seeking a reliable, compassionate, and safety-conscious Driver to transport our participants to and from our medical adult daycare facility. The Driver plays a vital role in ensuring the safety, comfort, and dignity of our seniors and adults with medical needs. This position requires excellent driving skills, a caring attitude, and a commitment to punctuality and customer service.

• Safely transport participants to and from their homes and the center using company vehicles.
• Ensure participants are safely assisted in and out of the vehicle, including use of wheelchairs, walkers, and other mobility aids.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections to ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Maintain accurate transportation logs including pick-up/drop-off times, mileage, and any incidents.
• Assist with loading and unloading packages or participant belongings when needed.
• Communicate professionally with participants, families, and staff to report delays, concerns, or incidents.
• Follow all traffic laws, vehicle operation regulations, and company policies.
• Participate in required trainings, meetings, and safety drills.
• Provide courteous, patient, and respectful interaction with all participants.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record (CDL with passenger endorsement may be required based on vehicle type).
• At least 1–2 years of professional driving experience preferred, especially with elderly or disabled individuals.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to lift and assist participants as needed (up to 50 lbs).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must pass background check, drug screening, and TB test.

Working Conditions:

• Regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
• May require early morning or evening shifts.
• Must be able to sit, drive, and assist passengers for extended periods.
