The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Community Medical Center, is a 592-bed, fully accredited acute care hospital offering area residents world-class medical treatment with the comforts of hometown care. Opened in 1961, CMC has evolved into the state’s newest teaching hospital with four residency programs and Ocean County’s largest and most active health care facility—caring for over 21,500 inpatients, 178,000 outpatients and 73,700 emergency department patients each year.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • MSN required
  • Three to Five years Med/Surg experience
  • Registered Nurse with current license required
  • AHA BLS, ACLS, NRP required

Preferred:

  • Certified in professional development or sub-specialty preferred
  • Education experience preferred

Scheduling Requirements :

  • Day Shift

Essential Functions:

  • Demonstrates an ability to express self effectively in all areas of communication verbal, non-verbal, written; utilizes effective listening and questioning techniques along with appropriate communication methods,
  • Develops continuing education programs to meet the needs of Community Medical Center employees,
  • Disseminates information to hospital departments and the community related to education/training programs offered by Community Medical Center,
  • Evaluates all continuing education/training programs; adapts programs as necessary as a result of feedback; utilizes accepted evaluation of all educational programs,
  • Evaluates effective teaching skills through appropriate instruction methodologies; communicates principles of adult education and applies adult learning theory when conducting programs,
  • Insures the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs to meet JCAHO recommendation and State Health Department requirements on an annual basis,
  • Regularly encourages personnel to grow professionally by pursuing educational opportunities both inside and outside the institution,
  • Updates and revises programs eg, orientation, skill training, and continuing education as needed, in accordance with education Standards andhospital policy and procedure,
