Position: SPED Paraprofessional
Rate: up to $23 per hour

We've partnered with a fantastic school in Oakland, NJ, that is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Special Education Paraprofessional to join their team.

What You'll Do:

As a SPED Paraprofessional, you'll play a vital role in supporting students with diverse learning needs, working closely with the classroom teacher to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the implementation of instructional programs in reading, writing, mathematics, and other subjects
• Providing one-on-one and small group support to reinforce concepts and skills
• Helping students stay on task and implement accommodations outlined in their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Supporting positive behavior and helping students develop essential social skills
• Collaborating with teachers and the Child Study Team to ensure student success

What You Will Bring:

• A genuine love for working with children and a commitment to their growth and development
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and staff
• The ability to take direction and work collaboratively as part of a team
• A willingness to learn and adapt to the unique needs of each student
• Knowledge of child growth and development
• Familiarity with specific handicapping conditions (preferred)
• Experience working with children (preferred)
• ABA experience (preferred)
• Teacher Certification (preferred)
• Willingness to ride the bus
• A valid New Jersey Criminal Background Check and CPR/AED Certification (required)
• CPI Certification (required)
