Job Overview:

Responsible for assisting in the care of patients and endoscopic equipment. As a member of the Health care team, you will take directions and guidance from the Registered Nurse, as well as assisting the MD during procedures. Responsible for the cleaning of endoscopes in GI Endo or with infection control processes in the Sterile Processing Department. The Gastrointestinal Technician will prepare the room and equipment before an endoscopic procedure and the cleanup and sterilization afterward. Maintain stock, check supplies daily and place order when necessary.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High school diploma
• Prior endoscopy experience

Certifications and Licenses Required:

• BLS certification
