Travel Occupational Therapist Job

Healthforce by TLC
Manahawkin, NJ
Embark on a meaningful travel opportunity as an Occupational Therapist in Manahawkin, New Jersey, where your clinical expertise will illuminate every step of a patient’s journey toward independence. This assignment places you at the intersection of compassionate care and innovative therapy, empowering individuals to regain daily function, confidence, and a renewed sense of possibility. As you guide therapeutic activities, assess cognitive and motor skills, and tailor interventions to each client’s goals, you’ll witness firsthand how thoughtful OT practice transforms lives. And when you’re ready to explore the wider landscape of the United States, this role also opens doors to assignments across diverse locations, enriching your professional portfolio while you broaden your cultural and clinical horizons. While you enjoy the charm of New Jersey’s beauty—sunlit shorelines, tranquil marshes, and vibrant seaside towns—you’ll also discover a place where outdoor recreation, family-friendly communities, and excellent access to healthcare create a fulfilling backdrop for your professional journey.

Manahawkin sits along the picturesque Jersey Shore, offering a welcoming coastal atmosphere, easy access to beaches, parks, and waterfront trails, and a community that values health, wellness, and lifelong learning. The region’s nearby natural treasures and bustling shore towns provide a refreshing balance to the demands of clinical practice. Beyond your assignment, you’ll have the opportunity to work across various locations throughout the United States, gaining exposure to a wide spectrum of patient populations, care settings, and interdisciplinary collaboration. This variety is designed to sharpen your clinical intuition, diversify your caseload, and accelerate your growth as a versatile Occupational Therapist who can adapt with grace and competency to different community needs.

In this role, you’ll lead comprehensive evaluations and develop customized treatment plans that address fine motor skills, sensory processing, Activities of Daily Living, executive functioning, and home safety. You’ll implement evidence-based interventions, monitor progress, adjust plans as needed, and collaborate closely with families, caregivers, and a multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care. Your day-to-day responsibilities may include neuromuscular retraining, upper-extremity therapy, splint fabrication or modification, adaptive equipment recommendations, and caregiver education designed to empower independence at home and in the community. You’ll document progress clearly in the charting system, communicate with supervising clinicians, and participate in regular case reviews that promote best practices and professional accountability. The role offers exposure to a spectrum of clinical environments, from inpatient to outpatient and school-based settings, providing broad opportunities to refine assessment techniques, treatment planning, and patient advocacy. You’ll also be encouraged to pursue ongoing professional development and specialization opportunities that align with your clinical interests and career goals, whether you’re keen to deepen hand therapy expertise, enhance pediatric OT proficiency, or advance neurorehabilitation skills.

The position comes with competitive benefits that acknowledge the value of your time, expertise, and dedication. You’ll receive a weekly pay range of $1,932-$2,120, with guaranteed hours of 35 per week to provide stability and meaningful engagement. The assignment commences on 02/16/2026 for an initial period described as several weeks, with strong potential for extension based on performance, department needs, and your evolving professional interests. In addition to competitive compensation, the role includes a bonus opportunity, housing assistance or stipend options to ease relocation and daily living, and the possibility to extend your contract beyond the initial term to continue advancing your impact. As you travel, you’ll have access to 24/7 support from a dedicated travel team dedicated to assisting with any scheduling, onboarding, or clinical questions, ensuring you feel secure and supported wherever your assignments take you.

Our organization is grounded in values that empower you to grow, contribute, and thrive. We are committed to creating a supportive work environment where you can advance in your career with purpose and pride. You’ll find mentorship from experienced clinicians, opportunities to expand your scope through continued education credits and specialty certifications, and a culture that recognizes your expertise, resilience, and patient-centered approach. By joining our team, you’ll join a community that believes in elevating the standard of care through collaboration, curiosity, and professional respect, while balancing your responsibilities with a healthy, sustainable professional life.
