As our Chief Estimator, you are the tip of the spear for the Paul Davis Restoration of Mid-Central, NJ office. Your primary responsibility is to ensure that all mitigation and reconstruction jobs are accurately estimated, properly resourced and flawlessly executed from start to finish. Exceeding the expectations of homeowners, business owners and insurance partners will be how one succeeds in this role. As a key member of the leadership team responsible for the overall success of the business, you will have the chance to grow and estimating team from the ground up backed by the extensive resources and support of the Paul Davis corporate office. Additionally, you will have access to world class training and resources to deepen your mitigation and restoration estimating skills and to grow professionally. RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS:
- Estimate each loss using a third party estimating software, Xactimate or Symbility (as required). Train on these estimating tools as needed.
- Ensure each project achieves a minimum gross profit margin as determined by company standards.
- Complete estimate revisions within 24 hours.
- Establish a rapport and relationship with PDRI QA for peer review.
- Make immediate contact with property owner (customer) and create accurate estimates for every jobevery time.
- Build and maintain business relationships with insurance adjusters, brokers and TPA's.
- Lead and manage all aspects of the Estimating process including preparation of a detailed and accurate scope, communication with all insurance carriers and delivery of all necessary paperwork to all end users.
- Work closely with your Mitigation, Reconstruction and Accounting colleagues.
- Ensure that all projects are progressing as planned and course-correct projects as required. Maintain professionalism with project conditions: (i.e.: workmanship, homeowner relationships, safety, cleanliness, and tradespeople conduct).
- Minimum five (5) years of direct experience in insurance restoration estimating.
- Ideally, level 3 Certification capability using Xactimate, Xactanalysis and Symbility software. Willing to consider others with experience using these software platforms.
- IICRC Certifications a major PLUS.
- Established relationships with insurance company adjusters/representatives in NJ/NY Metro area is a major PLUS.
- Possess an established network of reliable, high-quality tradesmen.
- Bachelor Degree in Construction, Architecture or related field (desirable but not required).
This is a salaried role with annual compensation between $60K-$90K depending upon experience, skill level and documented track record of success. Additionally, this role will be eligible for significant variable compensation tied directly to performance.
