Plant Manager - Manufacturing - Base Salary to 160k/year - Thorofare, NJ

• Our client, a manufacturing organization, is seeking a Plant Manager to lead operations at their Thorofare, NJ facility. This role will oversee plant performance with a strong focus on Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily manufacturing operations including production, scheduling, and quality control
• Lead Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives (process optimization, waste reduction, cost savings)
• Monitor and improve KPIs including throughput, labor efficiency, scrap, and on-time delivery
• Manage plant-level P&L performance, including cost control and productivity improvements
• Direct production planning and capacity management to meet customer demand
• Evaluate and improve manufacturing processes, equipment utilization, and plant layout
• Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures and manufacturing best practices
• Partner with cross-functional teams including Finance and Sales to align production with business needs
• Assess staffing levels, workforce planning, and capital equipment needs
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field
• 8+ years of operations leadership experience within a manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated experience leading Lean / continuous improvement initiatives with measurable results
• Experience with Lean tools (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, Six Sigma, process standardization, waste reduction)
• Plant-level P&L responsibility or direct financial management experience
• Experience in CNC, wood products, metal fabrication, or similar discrete manufacturing environments
• Experience managing production scheduling, capacity planning, and plant operations
• Experience developing and implementing standardized manufacturing processes
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 140k - 160k/year range
