Retail Sales Associate –Photography/Music

A growing photography and electronics company is looking for a Sales representative to join our sales team in our retail location in Lakewood, NJ. Knowledge of Photo or Music products is a requirement for this role.

Our company has been in business for more than 50 years, and while retail is our roots, over the past decade we have added a strong online operation to our company as well. Today we are known as a leading player in both online and retail sales. We primarily sell cameras and photo gear, musical instruments, recording gear, computers, and other performance-related equipment.

We are known for our product assortment, product knowledge, excellent prices, and customer focus.

Essential Role Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate enthusiasm and interest welcoming potential customers
• Provide excellence in customer service including product information and appropriate follow-up
• Proven excellence in a public-facing, sales-driven, client services environment
• Develop long lasting customer relationships through excellent sales service and customer care
• Foster and support a collaborative and open environment
• Self-directed and able to work independently
• Follow sales/returns processes to help ensure accurate sales and inventory reporting
• Ensure all safety and security rules are followed
• Special duties as assigned by sales leadership
• Effectively interface with customers and internal personnel to champion and win new business and secure existing business.

Requirements

• Knowledge of Photography and Music/Audio equipment
• Minimum 1-3 years retail or phone sales experience (with Photography gear and/or Music equipment preferred)
• Skilled at current best practice retail/phone sales methods, procedures, and standards
• Flexibility in work schedule reflecting the needs and patterns of store hours
• Must be available to work SUNDAYS
• Fluency with MS office-Word, Excel, and Outlook
