Job Description

The Funding Specialist is responsible for the review of closing packages to ensure loans are fully compliant before initiating a wire to fund and/or purchase loans. This position is located in our Paramus, NJ Headquarters, this is not a remote role.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize checklist to complete pre-funding / pre-purchase review of closing documents
• Communicate with inside staff, loan officers, settlement agents and lenders to ensure loans are funded and purchased in a timely manner
• Determine all underwriting pre-funding and pre-purchase conditions have been satisfied
• Maintain data integrity of LOS fields
• Verify and balance wire amounts for daily reconciliation
• Coordinate with settlement agents to ensure loans are fully disburse

Qualifications

• Precise attention to detail
• Strong time management skills, along with the ability to multitask
• Must be able to work independently and part of a team 
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Skilled in the use of personal computers and related software applications, specifically Internet Explorer, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
• The ability to work in office Monday - Friday 8:30- 5:00pm
