Job Title: Registered Nurse – Tele Observation Unit Shift: Nights (36 hours/week) Weekend: Every other weekend Holidays: At least one winter and one summer holiday depending on contract length/timing On-Call: None Float: To like units only (inpatient telemetry; no specialty units) Job Summary: The RN is responsible for evaluating patients, assisting physicians, and providing patient-centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice. Duties include: Assessing patient needs and determining care priorities Developing, implementing, and coordinating individualized care plans Performing therapeutic nursing interventions and managing patient care Administering medications (cardiac, non-titratable) via ALARIS pumps Documenting care accurately in EPIC according to standards and patient acuity Advocating for and supporting evidence-based practice and innovations in care delivery Unit Info & Requirements: Experience: Minimum 2 years preferred; 5 years ideal Certifications: BLS, ACLS, Telemetry, NIH Skills: Knowledge of cardiac medications, non-titratable drugs, EPIC EMR, ALARIS drug pumps Soft Skills: Strong time management; ability to handle high-volume discharges and admissions Scrub Color: Navy Blue Additional Notes: Floating to like units may be required No interview panel; individual interviews only
