Benefits Manager

As a Manager, Employee Benefits, you’ll shape the employee experience across the U.S. and Latin America through high-impact work spanning 401(k) governance, benefits operations, and M&A integration. You’ll apply a rigorous, data-driven approach to optimize programs, manage risk, and drive measurable outcomes.
This role requires strong problem-solving, comfort with ambiguity, and a focus on delivering results at scale. With exposure to senior stakeholders and cross-functional partners, you’ll influence key decisions and execute initiatives that directly impact business performance—making it an ideal opportunity for an analytically minded professional seeking accelerated growth.
The Benefits team designs and optimizes programs that directly impact workforce performance and engagement globally. We own the full lifecycle of health, financial wellbeing, leave, and income protection offerings, with a strong emphasis on data-driven decision-making, cost efficiency, and adoption.
We are a highly visible, execution-focused team partnering across Compensation, People Systems, Payroll, Legal, and Finance to solve complex problems and continuously improve outcomes. You’ll work closely with the Director of Americas Benefits and Head of Global Benefits and Policy to take ownership of meaningful, high-impact work from day one in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
This position is Hybrid in our New York or Morristown, New Jersey office.
Day-to-day responsibilities:
401(k) Plan Design and Administration
Own the end-to-end administration of the U.S. 401(k) plan, including enrollments, deferral changes, loans, distributions, and QDROs.
Act as the primary point of contact for recordkeepers, trustees, and third-party administrators.
Analyze participant data to proactively assess needs for education, engagement and potential plan design enhancements.
Manage annual compliance testing (ADP/ACP, top-heavy, coverage) and support the 401(k)-audit process.
Ensure timely and accurate Form 5500 filings and adherence to ERISA, IRS, and DOL regulations.
Champion employee education and engagement through retirement plan communications and workshops.
LATAM Benefits Administration
Support benefits operations across Latin America, including medical, life, and disability.
Collaborate with local teams and brokers to ensure compliance with regional regulations and market best practices.
Assist in vendor management, renewals, and plan design reviews for LATAM plans.
Drive process improvements, standardization and automations across LATAM benefits programs.
Maintain accurate documentation and reporting aligned with global governance standards.
M&A Benefits Integration
Play a critical role in M&A due diligence, assessing acquired entities’ benefit plans, vendors, and compliance risks.
Use Excel and other modelling skills to draft side-by-size comparisons to assess and recommend integration plans.
Partner cross-functionally with Legal, People. Payroll, and Total Rewards to deliver scalable, employee-centric solutions.
Enable a smooth transition for employees through clear communication, education, and operational readiness.
Health & Welfare Benefits (U.S.)
Assist with analytics to inform recommendations for few plan design updates and enhancements
Assist with open enrollment planning and execution, including materials, communications, and employee workshops.
Guide employees through benefit elections, life event changes, and eligibility questions with empathy and accuracy.
Conduct benefits orientations and create engaging educational content.
Resolve complex issues in partnership with carriers and third-party vendors.
Compliance & Reporting
Prepare and file Form 5500s for all applicable benefit plans.
Ensure compliance with ACA regulations, including 1094/1095 reporting and employer mandate requirements.
Maintain accurate records and ensure data integrity across HRIS and benefits platforms.
Support internal and external audits with a proactive, detail-oriented approach.
Essential traits:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
3 to 5 years of benefits experience, preferably at a fast paced company,

Experience supporting international benefits, particularly in LATAM markets advantageous. Spanish or Portuguese language skills a plus.
Exposure to M&A due diligence and post-acquisition integration preferred.
Strong working knowledge of ERISA, IRS, DOL, and ACA regulations.
Proficiency in HRIS systems (e.g., Oracle and Businessolver).
Preferred CEBS or similar certification.
