Job Title: Mixer Operator
Job Description
As a Mixer Operator, you will be responsible for operating all manual, automatic, and material handling equipment safely and efficiently to combine ingredients for various bakery products, such as bread and cakes. You will follow specific recipes and production schedules while adhering to GMP and SQF standards.
2nd shift (2:30pm to 11:30pm), and 3rd shift (10:30pm to 7am), Monday through Friday. 2nd shift Mixer Operators will train on 3rd shift for 8-10 weeks before transitioning to 2nd shift.
Responsibilities
- Review MES Production Orders.
- Inspect all raw materials for damage, cleanliness, and expiration issues.
- Ensure the production line is sanitized using specified CIP procedures.
- Complete a pre-flight checklist prior to tasks.
- Maintain all tools and equipment in reliable working condition.
- Operate HMI proficiently during the mixing process to ensure recipes are followed and traceability is documented in MES.
- Use the MES system for recording production and consumptions.
- Maintain a sanitary working area at all times.
- Understand and execute all allergen regulations according to SOPs.
- Lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly when adding or preparing ingredients.
Essential Skills
- Ability to work in a GMP/SOP environment, including wearing hair nets and glasses.
- Capacity for manual labor, including lifting up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to work quickly and maintain good attendance.
- Experience in bagging, production, food, chemical, pharmaceutical, and machine operations.
- Basic computer literacy and understanding of operating systems.
- Ability to communicate both orally and in written form in English.
- Experience in a highly intensive and physical work environment, preferably in manufacturing GMP.
- Capability to work overtime when mandated.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Must complete skill assessments with passing scores.
- Ability to read and understand system instructions and training materials.
- Good attendance record with less than 5 points.
- Experience with computer systems and scanning technology.
- SQF training, GMP training, SOP training.
- Pass company physical as needed.
- Cross-training on any L2 equivalent work is expected.

Work Environment
Work in a food manufacturing environment that complies with all CGMP and HAACP guidelines. The production floor is not climate-controlled and can be cold in the winter and hot in the summer. Work boots are required, and adherence to CGMP policies, including no jewelry and appropriate hair netting, is mandatory. Shifts include 2nd shift (2:30pm to 11:30pm), and 3rd shift (10:30pm to 7am), Monday through Friday. 2nd shift Mixer Operators will train on 3rd shift for 8-10 weeks before transitioning to 2nd shift.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.14 - $22.89/hr.
