Patient Care Coordinator/ Medical Receptionist

Private psychiatry practice with a physical office in Park Ridge, NJ. We are looking for a responsible part time Medical Receptionist/Patient Care Coordinator to join the team. The position requires flexible schedule of some day shifts and some evenings (latest 7pm). No weekends. MEDICAL OFFICE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. Psychiatry/psychology experience greatly appreciated but not required. Looking for someone Detail Oriented, empathetic, patient, ambitious, pays attention to detail, excellent at multitasking, friendly with patients, and reliable.
Responsibilities
- Greets patients and verifies insurance eligibility
- Answers phones and directs calls to the appropriate person
- Efficient organizational skills
- Able to navigate patient issues appropriately
- Schedules new and existing patients for appointments
- Collects payments for services
- Maintains medical records and office supplies
- Ensures that office is clean and orderly at all times
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
- Assists in administering testing for ADHD
- Assists psychiatric providers in phone calls, tasks, etc.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; College Degree preferred
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Medical Office experience required
- Knowledge of EHR preferred
- Knowledge of Office Machines
