Position Summary:

OPEX Corporation is looking for full time CNC Machinists to work at our Pennsauken, NJ location. We are looking for workers who are able to commit to a full time schedule during our second shift (M-F, 2:00p-10:15p). We are currently looking for workers who have experience using Mazak turning equipment or Haas Milling machines. We are looking for dependable, organized, mechanically skilled individuals for this opening.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Worker will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to produce parts
• They look at the finished product to ensure it is defect-free and ready for the next step in production
• Follow written and verbal procedures for machining and other duties
• Load parts and/or material, prove programs, operate controls, set offsets, perform simple edits, debur and inspect quality parts for conformance to requirements
• Inspect your work produced using micrometer; calipers, or other measuring instruments to verify conformance to specifications
• Study and interpret drawings, specification or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations and setup requirements
• Ensures resources are continually operating in a safe manner
• Works as a team member, meeting professional standards of cooperation, communication
• Maintain regular attendance and perform duties in a timely manner, arriving and departing for assignments and meeting as requirements
• Other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

• Minimum requirement for the position is 2+ years as a machinist
• Strongly prefer 5+ years of experience as a machinist
• Must have experience working with Mazak turning center
• Must have experience working with Haas milling machine
• Must have set up experience
• Candidate must be able to provide their own tools
• Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds

Physical/Work Environments:

• Worker will be working in a production shop setting
• Worker must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Worker must be able to stand throughout duration of their shift

Hourly Rate:

• $20-27/hr, depending on proven experience
