HVAC Design Coordinator (BIM/VDC)

We're growing! New Jersey's premier HVAC-Plumbing-Electrical company is looking for a full-time HVAC Design Coordinator to join our team of 550+ dedicated professionals. Come work with the best in the business in our state-of-the-art digital Engineering studio. This is an on-site position in our Whippany, NJ office.

Responsibilities:

• Creating and managing detailed HVAC BIM/VDC models and engineering drawings using AutoCAD and Revit
• Coordinating with Engineers, Designers, and field teams to ensure seamless project execution
• Reviewing and resolving clashes in coordination with other trades
• Generating shop drawings, spool drawings, and as-builts for field installation
• Ensuring compliance with design standards, tolerances, and specifications
• Assisting in training and mentoring junior designers/drafters
• Providing technical support to field teams to ensure smooth project delivery

Requirements:

• Autodesk/Revit accreditation or completion of an accredited CAD/BIM program
• 1-3 years of experience in HVAC BIM/VDC coordination
• Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings across multiple disciplines
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, sheet metal, piping layouts
• Ability to work independently while collaborating in a team setting
• Experience with Navisworks or BIM 360 is a plus!!!
• Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
• Degree preferred, but not required
• Attention to detail and accuracy a must!
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interface with all levels of Employees and external contacts (General Contractors)
• Ability to share knowledge
• A commitment to continuous learning

Hours:

• Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 4:30 pm; occasional Saturdays
