Job Overview:
The Graduate Medical Education (GME) Coordinator provides administrative, operational, and for residency and fellowship training programs.This role ensures compliance with ACGME and other accrediting bodies, supports program leadership.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelors degree
- Minimum of 2-3 years of administrative experience, preferably in medical education, healthcare, or academic settings
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Preferred:
- Associate degree with relevant experience considered
- Experience with ACGME-accredited programs strongly preferred
Essential Job Functions:
- Program Administration
- Maintain accurate resident/fellow records, files, and databases
- Assist with resident onboarding, orientation, credentialing,
- Assist with resident and fellow rotators onboarding
- Assist with duty hour monitoring
- Apply for NJ training permits for all residents
- Prepare resident contracts
- Assist with the Coordination of residents activities, i.e. parties, appreciation day, research day, graduation
- Support Administrative Director with other assigned tasks
- Financial & Administrative Support
- Track educational funds, conference attendance, and reimbursement requests
- Back up for residents payroll
