We are seeking Director National Accounts to lead the execution of market access and reimbursement strategies supporting DRL portfolio as well as future pipeline products. Responsible for National Payors, the incumbent will lead the planning and execution in terms of formulary coverage and reimbursement, navigate existing and emerging payer policies, formulary design, competitive landscape, pricing, contracting strategies, potential barriers to provider and patient access.
The role will report into the Head of Market Access, Biologics for North America
Responsibilities:
- Lead all account management activities with assigned National Accounts including but not limited to access and reimbursement strategies, formulary coverage, establishing medical policies, contract negotiation and relationship management.
- Establish strategic relationships with key stakeholders including Medical and Pharmacy Directors within assigned Accounts and educate all on Dr. Reddy’s biologic portfolio.
- Collaborates with commercial leadership and executive management to develop and refine the company’s Payer access strategy providing input on product offerings, pricing, and contracting.
- Responsible for executing customer-specific market access strategies to assigned National Accounts.
- Demonstrate knowledge and experience in Medicare Part A-D, Medicaid, and commercial payer policies, reimbursement process, health policy, areas of coverage and payment.
- Develop and implement contract strategies that create reimbursement access & coverage with Payors while protecting ASP and the GTN.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders on product and customer strategies to support brand value propositions and secure market access/formulary acceptance of DRL products.
- Collaborate with the cross-functional field team to develop and implement strategies around reimbursement, and product/HCP pull-through within assigned accounts.
- Provide leadership and development to internal and external matrix teams to support strong relationships with National Accounts.
- Develop senior level relationships and thought leader advocacy within assigned accounts.
- Attend key organizational meetings and conferences such as PCMA, AMCP and Asembia.
- Review and analyze product performance and communicate payer account performance broadly with key internal stakeholders.
- Work closely with legal and regulatory departments to ensure proper compliance.
Educational qualification: Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred
Minimum work experience: At least 10+ years of direct US Payer Account management experience.
Five years’ experience managing Biologics products and medical benefit drugs
Skills & Attributes:
- Demonstrated skills in business planning and payer strategy development with strong problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated negotiation skills and financial acumen required to manage complex customer engagements (Pre-information exchange) and contractual agreements.
- Seasoned National Accounts leader with deep industry relationships.
- Successful product launch experience in the US required with a preference for specialty drug launches.
- In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturer compliance requirements, product reimbursement and product access.
- Demonstrated experience working with HUB, co-pay, and other patient service providers.
- Strong communicator with the ability to influence others.
- Experience with Commercial Brand Planning process, able to translate brand disease state and business drivers into payer programs.
- Ability to translate and compile data into comprehensive and functional reports.
- Strong leadership and teamwork skills with demonstrated skills working cross functionally to gain alignment and improve business performance.
- Highly organized and detail oriented, excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to travel as required for customer meetings, conferences, and internal meetings up to 50%
Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident of U.S. or otherwise authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring visa transfer or sponsorship, now or in the future.
