Overview
Global pharma company looking to hire experienced Calibration Technician. Must bring a High School Diploma and minimum of 3 years experience in a GMP/regulated environment.
Responsibilities
- Execute equipment calibration, preventative maintenance, performance verification, troubleshooting, and repair activities in laboratory and manufacturing areas as scheduled via CMMS.
- Perform requalification on Controlled Temperature Units such as refrigerators, freezers (-20°C/-80°C), incubators, cryotanks, cryopods, and storage rooms/areas.
- Support deviations and investigations related to calibration and performance verification, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Author, review, and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for calibration, preventive maintenance, and verification processes.
- Supervise vendors during calibration, maintenance, and repair activities, ensuring adherence to schedules and quality standards.
- Document calibration, maintenance, and repair activities accurately in Work Plan Templates (WPT) or Measurement Data Templates (MDT) using the CMMS system.
- Review and approve vendor records for accuracy and completeness.
- Manage calibration and maintenance plans within the site CMMS system.
- Support process improvement initiatives and safety procedures, maintaining compliance with cGMP and ALCOA standards.
- Maintain inventory of lab equipment and standards, and ensure proper documentation and filing.
- Support multiple Warren site locations and clinical manufacturing activities, including on-call troubleshooting.
- Participate in special projects aimed at operational efficiency and cost reduction.
Requirements
- Knowledge of cGMP and good documentation practices (ALCOA principles).
- Experience working with pharmaceutical, manufacturing, and laboratory systems and equipment.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an FDA-regulated industry, with direct equipment experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills, with experience working with diverse teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Working knowledge of scheduling and inventory systems such as Blue Mountain RAM, Maximo, or similar CMMS.
- High school diploma or higher; Bachelor's degree or Associates preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs., perform repetitive tasks, and work in environments with PPE requirements.
- Willingness to support local travel between multiple site locations.
