Job Title: Machine Operator
Job Description

As a Machine Operator, you will monitor equipment daily, perform basic cleaning, reset equipment for the next day, and complete repairs to ensure continued production. You will be responsible for reading and following work order operations to produce products that meet approved quality standards. Additionally, you will assist in developing preventive and corrective maintenance programs and ensure that daily, weekly, and monthly periodic maintenance is completed.

Responsibilities

• Support the Lead in training all technicians on all Pre-Lam equipment.
• Properly maintain working files to ensure correct operation of equipment.
• Assist the Team Lead in estimating materials, labor, and equipment hours for project completion.
• Provide root cause analysis and resolve problems.
• Maintain in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies.
• Interface with scheduling to determine production schedules.
• Ensure full adherence to 5S practices at all times.
• Track the achievement of production throughput against stated capacity targets.
• Ensure that non-conforming material is clearly identified and segregated.
• Escalate any issues to Leads immediately.

• Set up machine and mechanically inclined.
• Data entry and troubleshooting.
• Machine operation and hand tool proficiency.

• Engage and support companywide Safety and Cleanliness programs.
• Handle related email correspondence.
• Perform other job functions as assigned.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven successful history in driving organizational and departmental changes.
• Experience with Visual ERP is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to self-check own work.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Microsoft Office skills, including solid Excel skills, are required.

Work Environment

This position operates on the 1st shift from 7 am to 3:30 pm. You will be part of a dynamic manufacturing environment where precision and attention to detail are key.

This is a Permanent position based out of Somerset, New Jersey.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $37440.00 - $58240.00/yr.
