Accounts Receivable Clerk

C&C Lift Truck, Inc., located in Edison, New Jersey, is currently searching for an Accounts Receivable Clerk. Founded in 1977, C&C Lift Truck Inc. has continuously grown over the past 44 years to become one of the leading forklift dealerships in the Tri-State area and is one of the top Komatsu dealers in the country. Responsibilities:

• Contact customer for collection of payment for services or goods rendered - main responsibility


• Post customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions.


• Verifies validity of account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from sales, service departments, and from customers.


• Resolves valid or authorized deductions by entering adjusting entries.


• Resolves collections by contacting customers in writing and verbally.


• Keeps detailed records and status of customer accounts.


• Sends out monthly reminders to customers of account balances.


• Contacts and follows up with outside collections resources on delinquent accounts.


• Sends internal reports daily on monies received.


• Resolves all billing inquires.


• Deposits all check payments/Cash payments


• Handles all Accounts Receivable inquires.


• Inputs new customers into the company’s software system.


• Monitor customer credit lines.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in billing, customer service, or other related fields


• Ability to build rapport with clients


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills


• Ability to prioritize and multitask


• Strong attention to detail
